Here is the ultimate way for artists to bust through the WHY writers’ block

But the more time you spend introspection and healing. The better you know yourself, the better you will be able to connect to your higher power, your customer, and your purpose.

Go on a WHY WALK in nature.

How do i know this?

I’ve walked the walk, friends.

Ive spending time doing this myself. Everyday i dont have a migraine i go for a spiritual mainiance walk in nature. It’s made me a better human and helped me rise to my best self.

That’s how this podcast was born.

Im serving my deepest purpose to help artists live livees they love and bust through invisible battles like me.

Going on a WHY WALK in nature.

The goal is to walk away from physically writing your WHY and your Artist Statement when you get stuck.

neuroscience research supports that walking outside has a profound impact on critical thinking and the generation of new ideas

Nature Walks Stimulate New Ideas and Creativity:

Physical activity, such as walking, increases blood flow and oxygenation to the brain, optimizing cognitive function and your ability to problem-solve.

Movement, nature, being outside, walking, and the release of brain chemicals are interconnected.

Walking and physical activity stimulate the release of endorphins, dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine, resulting in improved mood, motivation, and focus.

Spending time in natural environments further enhances these effects, reducing stress and promoting a sense of tranquility.

Studies have shown that walking in nature, reduces mental fatigue, improves focus., And enhances your ability for critical thinking.

The act of walking itself promotes the production of neurotrophic factors like BDNF, which support the growth and survival of neurons, ultimately enhancing cognitive abilities.

The change in scenery and sensory experiences during a walk stimulate multiple brain regions, fostering divergent thinking and creativity. This mental state, known as the default mode network, is activated during periods of mind-wandering and introspection, facilitating insightful thinking and the emergence of novel ideas.

Based on neuroscience, going on a walk outside creates an optimal environment for the brain to generate new ideas

So this means, when you are stuck on something - get outside and walk it out!

In summary, Nature walks are scientifically proven to help you with:

  • Generating new ideas

  • Introspection

  • Problem-solving

  • Mental fatigue

  • Creative thinking

  • Improving mood

  • Reducing stress

  • Mental clarity

  • Energy

How cool is that?

So you’re probably wondering…

How do I go on a why walk to help me with my artist statement?

Here are the steps:

How to Go on Why Walk to Improve Your Artist Statement

  • The goal is to walk away from physically writing your WHY and your Artist Statement when you are stuck

  • Go outside in nature where things are alive. Nature helps us connect us to the universe and our deeper purpose.

  • For the first 10 minutes, your walk is only about your WHY. Don't put any headphones on. After that, do whatever you want.

  • Step 1. When you lace up your shoes, ask your higher power “Hey Universe, please allow any thoughts, memories, stories, beliefs, to come up that I need to remember, feel, and understand to come up so I can feel it, honor it, and pay it forward.“

  • Don't rush the process of feeling and honoring what comes up. This is for the little kid in you, the new artist, that needs to be understood.

  • If nothing comes up that’s ok. Don’t force it. There is always tomorrow.

  • Step 2. Document whatever comes up for you in a simple way during or immediately after your walk.

  • I suggest you either

    • a). Record a voice memo to yourself

    • b.) Write a note in your phone notes. You can later transfer these notes to your Living Artist Statement Document.

  • Start with a 10-minute walk in silence. Rinse & repeat as often as you find helpful.

  • Revisit the 13 supporting Questions before your Why Walk. and see what comes up during that time.
